This project involved the elimination of a sink hole that was eroding the soil from inside the trunnion pier box by compaction grouting and backfilling. The project also included the replacement of the existing concrete wall located east of the trunnion pier with a new sheet pile wale. In addition, the back-end truss on the counterweight tower was repaired and the bridge counterweights were modified.
