Removal, refurbishment and reinstallation of the existing structure over new piers. The project started with installation of flume pipes and mats for a temporary-access road creek crossing and installation of a temporary coffer dam. Work proceeded with removal of the existing bridge wood plank decking and proper disposal, along with careful removal and onsite storage of the existing steel structure.
We sandblasted and repainted the steel superstructure, and installed two new concrete pier supports, demolishing and abandoning existing piers. We lifted and installed the refurbished steel superstructure on top of the new piers, installed new roadway deck grating, and restored the roadway and creek bed.
