Complete replacement of the existing Cary Avenue pedestrian bridge with a new structure. The new structure has three spans (40, 65 and 40 feet) and is six-and-a-half feet wide. Two steel beams support a concrete deck over two piers constructed of steel bents anchored on concrete stub abutments. The existing railing has Historic Status and was salvaged, refurbished, repainted and reused. The project required minor approach work.
